The General

He looks like an Officer now but originally he didn’t. The reference I used for this piece was a digital mixed technique portrait of Anthony Hopkins. The vagueness of the portrait was without direction and body so I had to improvise most of what you see.

Since there was no real body, it was hard to position the cloth he wore and the neck position and tone made things worst. I didn’t want to leave my work like that so I improvised and ended with this.
