A Graphite Piece

Today has been pretty interesting and like I said yesterday, I think something is trying to delay my regular posting. I’ve come to the conclusion that the ”something” is my subconscious.

I first saw the reference I used for today’s sketch in the morning but since I left home in a hurry I wasn’t able to draw. I picked my pencil at noon and was about to hit paper when a colleague started a problematic discourse. After all was said and done I realized I had not achieved anything during that period so I left that place and moved to another.

Since where I was was without people, I was able to think properly and freely draw. Whole editing, I felt using the original image without and filter or erasure might be more aesthetically appealing. I thought of it and went for it.
