frens, I woke up to see that the rumored ApeCoin has come to life. Oh boy! A token airdrop for rich people!

Bored Ape Yacht Club is one of the most highly sought-after NFT collections that exists. Mostly because their community is a bunch of hype-beast giga chads that want to flex on plebs like you and me. I had the opportunity to buy a BAYC NFT at launch very cheap, but instead I laughed at it when my friend showed me the project. He bought 2 and is now very wealthy. I'm sitting here looking like an idiot for saying "stupid monkey JPEGs? Come on man. There's no way that will have value." Boy was I wrong. These ugly hand drawn monkeys took the world by storm and they secured some incredible partnerships along the way. First we had the original 10,000 Bored Apes and then the Mutant Apes. Again - these are just profile picture NFTs. Supposedly a play to earn game is coming.

At a floor price of 91 ETH, you're talking $256,000. These ugly monkey JPEGs are worth a house at this point purely due to hype. So if you didn't get one on the cheap, it's gunna cost you a pretty penny to join this super exclusive community of degenerates. Don't worry though! If you're rich enough to already own or purchase one of the NFTs, you're gunna get an airdrop of their new "utility token" ApeCoin. Normally with the launch of a utility coin for a game or NFT project, they launch with no value. This one seems to be a tad different though as the coin launched only hours ago and there's been announcements for trading by Binance, Kraken, Huobi, Gemini, FTX, and more. What a fuckin launch. The rich getting richer.

Of course the price has immediately skyrocketed. There will be a hype cycle pump and dump like always. The astonishing part is the amount of tokens that are being distributed to each holder. At current prices, if you hold a Bored Ape NFT, you're getting like $70,000 for free. Man that sure would be helpful right now. At least that's what I'm reading. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I don't think so.

If you hold a BAYC NFT, you're getting 10k, if you hold a MAYC you get 2k. Then there's pairs with Kennel Club. Either way, that's a pretty fat airdrop. Along with this, they announced the ApeCoin DAO which is where holders can vote on Ape proposals. What's really mind blowing is the amount of partnerships they're continuing to secure. Not sure if this was a direct partnership but I imagine it was. When you have this much money, you can pay companies to do a lot of crazy shit.
