My expedition to Antarctica

Hello everyone! I'm mervin and I would like to share my experience working on a cruise ship and going to Antarctic,
It is a dream come true going to this part of the world!

For the first time I feel so shock! I'm a filipino that is mostly used at a hot temperature going to a land of ice. It's like throwing iced water to my head then going down to the bones! Hahaha

Here are some pictures of me while we are on greenland going to Antarctic

This actually my first time seeing a glacier but this one is still intact with a mountain so it kinda looks like a waterfalls turn into ice.

And then I saw this beautiful mountain that looks like a mountain from Game Of Thrones. And I was looking from a dragon, maybe there is a mythical beast living there hahaha!

And then after that first day is finished, the other day I went outside again to do some sightseeing then I saw this island that was a bit covered by clouds and it looks beautiful

And then the 3rd day was just a regular day, we are cruising very slow in here. And there is actually a sun during that time so I need to get some sun once in a while. And also there is ice glaciers are around the corner so it's picture taking time!

It looks like some GHOST 👻 or Skeletons are going to come after us and then the Ghost ship is going to hunt us down hahaha! (Oh,my imagination is working too much)

And then its the night time. Look at this one haha a very nice dark blue colored background

And then we waited until it became 10 or 11pm and then we encounter this NORTHERN LIGHTS while we are sailing. And it was above our heads!!

I had a video of this northern lights and it really is scary if you are at the top of the ship and its so big moving around your head hahaha!

And now in this coming picture we reach the Antarctic!

I was rushing to go outside so I didn't get to wear a parka or that jacket for Antarctic haha and just to get a picture I need to keep smiling even the cold is piercing through my skin haha!

And of course! We celebrated the christmas and new year while we are in Antarctic! But we can't fire a fireworks because we might see lot's of avalanche on all sides hahaha!!

This is one of my dreams that come true! If you have a dream and you pursue it for sure! Someday you will achieve it. It's not about who you are, it's all about how you will achieve that goal or dream of yours!

Do the things that you love, so you will enjoy everything around you.

What an experience! You, probably, checked a lot of stuffs from your bucket list. How I wish I could also go there and see the Northern lights. Anyway, enjoy the holidays! You probably had one of your best ones

I actually made it happen by working on a cruiseship haha. One of the perks of working in this is industry is having lots of free tours,food,even excursions sometimes, but the only downside is if you love to walk around a lot. On a stable ground, it will be very different in here we're everyday it's swaying hege

I envy you, friend, 😄 it really is the dream job, traveling the world. And Antarctica is one of those places that very few people in the world can say they have visited.

Thanks! Actually I was working here onboard but the salary is low like i only earn a 3 digit salary in USD and the only thing that I like here is the free lodging,food,water,electricity and free travel. Haha. So it's still a win-win situation hehe

Whoa! are you cruising all over the world? how long would it be?

Haha. Yeah almost the whole world. I've been to Mediterranean sea,almost whole of europe, in US, Carribbean, Antarctica,and lots of places also in asia. But the best place that I've been with is japan! Hehe

I was actually working onboard, so maybe yes? I already traveled almost the world hehe. Or maybe almost half of it? Hehe

That's so cool! maybe becoming a sailor or work in a cruise ship is the way to go, traveling around the world and getting paid 😄

hahaha no need to be a sailor, there is actually a lot of jobs that is available in a cruiseship. so it's better to inquire for their vacancies :D hope to see you onboard somewhere hahaha, follow me also so you can see more of my post around the world hehe currently I'm on greece here in souda port but we can't go outside because of the lockdown

naka swerte lng sa cruise napasama ako sa antarctic cruise nyan last 2019 until 2020 tapos pag kauwi ko lockdown na haaha
