WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THE CHILDS ACADEMIC FAILURE? THE TEACHER? THE STUDENT? OR THE FAMILY?
Though slightly underrated, teachers are one of the most important figures in the country and in the world at large.
They play a very vital role in shaping and moulding the school child into equally becoming an important figure themselves.
I know you may have heard about the agents of socialization yeah? The family, the school and peers. Welp, after the family play their role as the child grows into becoming a school pupil, the teachers in school, takes over to continue from where the family stopped. Though in literal sense, the family's responsibility to mould the child does not stop, even when the is in school.
Teachers carry a whole lot of responsibilities. The leaders of tomorrow is in the hands, any small mistake can turn the leaders of tomorrow into the nuisance of tomorrow. It's quite interesting to see the power that they handle.
There are different types of school children, we have the smart and genius, there are the average IQ school child, and then, there are the academically dumb and low IQ school child. As the name implies, the high IQ school child also known as the geniuses, are really smart. They rely on their teachers for guidance but go extra mile to get information for themselves.
The average school child is, welp, neither smart nor dumb but they have their way in excelling. While the low IQ school child on the other hand are not able to assimilate no matter what or how they are being taught.
There is a saying; not all that glitters, are gold. Some teachers are good at their job and do it religiously, while some, just want to get their pay, and all other things are none of their concern. Teaching is not a job suited for any kind of person, as it takes a person that has passion for teaching to become a teacher.
If a student happens to slack or perform poorly in their academic life, it is not necessarily the fault of the teacher. There are other factors that needs to be looked out for.
There are times when teachers do all their best to teach, but then, the school pupil will still not learn what they have been taught.
Let's say the teacher did all that they should do to aid the student to learn but the student refused to assimilate. There are different things to take note of in such situations.
First, their home environment and home condition. What type of home is the student in? Is it a violent home? A home where there is nobody t encourage him or her to continue with school and school activity like assignments? What peers does this student roll with and what effect do they have in his life? Lastly, what is the students lifestyle? Are they actually paying attention in class? If no, why? Is he or her actually interested in schooling or was he forced to go to school? Some parents fail to see, but not every child is born to go to school. Some have their destiny else where.
There are lots of other factors to consider, but the above mentioned factors are the basic factors to look out for before casting blame on the teacher.
The teacher on the other hand has a role of ensuring that their lectures gets passed across to the pupil. Like I said earlier, not everybody is cut off to become a teacher. There are certain important qualities that a teacher needs to have.
However, it will be the fault of the teacher if they don't go out of their way to ensure that the pupil get the best lectures possible. Most times, a good conversation and teaching skills is enough to aid a dumb child improve. That's why, in a school, one teacher is liked more than the other.
To concluded, I would not actually blame anybody for the childs inability to learn. However, casting my blame will be made after weighing several factors. For now, my take is that; both the teachers, the student's parents and the student themselves, are responsible for the good and poor academic performance of the student.
Teachers are not always given y flowers that they deserve, but we all know they deserve more.
inarguably, they are the backbone of a successful community and we have to give them merit for that
Indeed it's a shared responsibility between the teachers, parents and the child themselves.
With a good cooperation between everyone, it's becomes easier to excel academical.
True. If everyone puts in efforts, the child will turn out well.
Parents have a lot to do in their Children's lives, they can never neglect their responsibilities for teachers to handle, there is nothing wrong in checking your child's performance in school to know where such a child is lagging.
there is a saying that; the parents of a child is not only his mother and father. Other people have the responsibility to bring up a child in a good and presentable way.
I agreed with you. If all parties would be responsible certainly we would have a balanced academic performance. It's time for the parents, students and teachers to wake up to responsibility
everyone needs to wake up and put in efforts to betterment the life of these young ones
As I have said before, this is a shared responsibility, both at home and in the classroom with the teacher, it is a job that goes hand in hand with both, although education is mainly built at home, by relatives and the family.
This is fact. If the educational foundation is properly laid at home, it will be easier for the teachers.

To me, parents have a lot to do in their children's lives especially when all the teachings start from home. However, it is a shared responsibility between parents, teachers, and the students at large.
the first people to mould the child is the parent. with a proper foundation, the teeachers can also aid to further mould the child
Exactly 👍👍
