Don't judge a book by its cover because not all that glitters is gold.
Hello friends. Happy weekend to everyone in the house. For this Week 74:- Edition 03:- we have a very special topic- " All That Glitters". Well in this life we learn everyday. Anyone that stops learning will definitely stop growing which will lead to death. But those who learn can't stop growing. I have learnt from different situations in life. Sometimes you over judge something, because of its look. While sometimes you judge something less because of the narrow mind that we humans have. We can't see like God, so, we are bound to make mistakes. In fact, to some extent I believe that mistake is part of life. For example, how can one know that all that glitters is not gold if not by experience. And such experience must have brought maybe pains that lasted for a very wrong time. But all the same, we keep learning.
*Tell us about the pivotal moment you realized that truly all that glitters is not gold!
As I grow in life I began to see things from the right side. You know that as a child one may not understand things the way they are, but growth happens and change everything. I grow up and discovered that it is not all that glitters that is gold. When I was growing up, I thought that every one I see riding a car is very rich. But I suddenly discovered that it is not so. Some ride cars because that is the business they do. They carry people from one place to the other. It doesn't necessarily mean that the car belongs to them. But in those days, when someone that has car refuse to give me money maybe to buy what I want, I will see the person as a stringy person. There are some guys that went even to borrow cars or even clothes just because they want to ask a girl out. All of those looks deceived me alot. Some guys played with my ming those days because I thought that they were rich.
What led to that moment? And how did it go for you?
One of the major events that led to my understanding that all that glitters is not gold is something that happened to my friend. She was in love with this young handsome guy, very rich looking, smart and all of that. When they were dating, I was actually jealous because I also wanted a rich guy. Hahaha 😄. If you come from a poor background you will understand what I mean. I don't want to go and suffer just like I saw my parents suffered. So, I wished that I will marry a very rich man. But we were all shocked to discover that this guy was living a fake life. He just wanted to impress her. So, he made everything possible to look rich. Just that we were not sensible enough we will have picked it that this guy is just pretending to be who he is not.
After marriage, my friend discovered that everything he told her was a lie. Infact at first he lied about being a rich man son. He said that his father died and left a lot for him to inherit. All these were all lie. But he faked everything and got the lady that he loved. After their marriage, she now discovered that this said man is into debt because he was trying to live a fake life. And at that time we don't cases of divorce like we have today. All she did was to manage and stay in the marriage. She was also ashamed of living because she will be called a divorce woman. She definitely don't want that name for herself.
What major lessons did you pick from there?*
The very big lesson for me is not to judge a book by its cover. Some book may look rich outside but have nothing to offer, while some may look not too good from outside, but the inside will be very rich.
Secondly, from experience, I have learnt that money don't necessarily bring happiness in marriage, but unconditional love does.

Hmmm
I've learnt something I will use even when I want to marry,
Thanks for sharing ma
Thanks alot
From the title to the conclusion and lesson most importantly for me hmmm A book shouldn't be judge by the nature of its cover because the contents could be life transforming.
This was what stood out for me.
Thanks for sharing
God bless 🙏 you for coming around.
Welcome mama
Money answers all things but it doesn't bring happiness to some situations in life , like marriage too
Indeed not all that Glitters are gold, we just need to give a closer look in order to be able to differentiate.
Yep. Thanks 👍 for coming around.
