NFL Running Back Rankings for 2023: #3 Josh Jacobs - Las Vegas Raiders
Entering 2022, Josh Jacobs was having a nice career through three seasons. But in 2023, Jacobs played his first full season and seriously leveled up as a player more than he ever had before.
The Raiders as a team were expected to do a lot better in 2022, but it was a bit of a struggle. Still, one bright spot on the team was Jacobs. In 2022 Jacobs had a career high in the following categories:
- Yards Per Carry
- Rushing Yards
- Receiving Yards
- Longest Rushing Attempt of 86 Yards
- Longest Reception of 43 Yards
- First Downs Converted Rushing
- First Downs Converted Receiving
- Games Played/Started
Jacobs surpassed a very impressive 2,000 yards from scrimmage in 2022, his prior career high was 1,316. That's an eye opening improvement! Jacobs was rewarded for his efforts by being named a First-Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler. Jacobs was also a Pro Bowler as a rookie.
Jacobs is still only 25 years old, even for a running back, that's fairly young. The fact that he just had a career year is a great sign that he can keep this up going forward.
