Saratov State Art Museum named after A.N. Radishchev is one of the oldest museums in Russia and is the first publicly accessible museum in the province. The museum was inaugurated on June 29, 1885 through the efforts of A.N. Radishchev, marine painter A.P. Bogolyubov, who donated his art collection to the city.

The collection of the museum has about 34 thousand items.
