First off Germany should have never been so naive to partner with Russia for energy. Great job Germany. Second turn off the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline sooner. Send a message. Third, U.S. Western World cut off Russia's access to the SWIFT banking transactions, like two weeks ago! Get tougher sooner leaders. Too slow, too late. Empowered Russia through energy policies, entrusted the bear with an energy pipeline and let the autocratic leader off of his leash. We stupid, slow, or both!
On Taiwan, I think a U.S. Aircraft carrier battle group or two can deter the Chinese. An island is easier for the U.S. to protect than a place such as Ukraine. Of course China could put us through a Cuban Missile Crisis type event and challenge the U.S. Navy in this region of the world. My optimistic guess, China will saber rattle, but not push to confrontation. ... Let's say a little prayer!!!
