I don't get, money was never a crucial factor about the Madrid-Mbappe matter.

The knotty issue was the unwillingness of PSG to let him go. Even the President of France himself was part of the problem of Madrid, as he was part of Mbappe staying back in PSG.

Money for Mbappe was never really such an issue for Madrid na.

if they pleaded with him and he didn't agree like he did of recent, he would have left since. he's been pocketing loyalty bonus from years ago, he signed a new contract too. if you want to leave, you won't commit to a new contract. no one held him against his will.
there was a time he was made available for a fee. psg told him, sign a new contract or get sold. mbappe rejected all advances and waited for Madrid(who were willing to wait his contract out)
