The Dood Returns To SoMee

This post is geared towards SoMee users. I haven't posted there in a really long time and I just wanted to do an intro post and give the community a little info about Hive and what I've been up to.

What's up #SoMee? It's been some time. I was recently listening to a Twitter spaces the other day about Hive and someone mentioned that SoMee was now integrated with Hive! I had to stop by and check it out. I'll probably be posting here again too.

Why I left?

Seriously to much social media. At the time I decided to focus on Hive and Twitter. Mainly Hive, with 45K followers on Twitter it's hard to let go. Slowly I've been phasing out Twitter because, well, The Dood doesn't abide censorship. Now that SoMee is officially a Hive frontend, SoMee will be part of my daily social media posting!

For any new Hiveans D.buzz is also a great alternative to Twitter and is also Hive based.

So now we've got Peakd and a couple others for blogging. SoMee as our Facebook alternative. D.buzz as our Twitter alternative. Plus we have great communities like Splinterlands.io dedicated to Splinterlands play to earn gaming.

cinetv.io for talking about cinema, tv, and entertainment.

I also started a community on Peakd called Dual Sport Adventure about motorcycle travel and dual sport riding.

I'm loving the new look and feel of SoMee. Lots of improvements to the interface. Is chat gone? That was a great feature, would love to see a return of the chat box. It would separate SoMee from so many of the other front ends too. Everything doesn't have to post to the blockchain. As a matter of fact, chat is better if it's not logged to anything!

Going through some old posts, I guess there were some issues with the old tokens on SoMee. I missed all that. For some reason I remember not being able to cash out my earned tokens back in the ETH days. Then I think I figured out how to cash in some of them. IDK, what I do know is all that confusion should be behind us now. I've been on Hive since it was STEEM and it's pretty tough to game the system. IDK if that's what happend, but just saying... On top of that, we have complete control of our wallets. As long as the tokens and rewards make it to our wallets, we have control of them. Hive also has a couple different DEX's to trade on and several ways to cash out! This seems like an all around win win to me.

Plus, screw Ethereum and its ridiculous tx fees. Hive is a much better fit for SoMee!

So I've already mentioned my Peakd community about dual sporting. Some of you may have remembered my old Honda Shadow 750. I'm in the process of selling that. My latest project bike is a 2014 Suzuki DR650 that I've been using for distance riding. I got a couple trips in towards the end of last summer and I'm really looking forward to the 2022 riding season.

I started a 3Speak and Youtube vlogging channel. I actually doxxed myself so you'll actually see a real picture of me from time to time. My main focus for content lately has been travel, motorcycle maintenance, camping, and survival type stuff. I'm convinced World War III is just around the corner. The Dood's been preparing accordingly and posting about it.

NY just legalized cannabis for personal use last year. I've been doing a lot of blogging about cannabis, hemp, and Delta8 THC products. If you're a pothead, you can look forward to some of that. If you're not, sorry :( Hopefully my other content will keep you around.

I still post a little about crypto from time to time. Maybe I'll post more, now that I'm back here. Twitter is just a cesspool of propaganda now and is almost completely useless for anything crypto related IMHO. Maybe I'll start posting that stuff here again.

I'll leave you with a picture of my new motorcycle. I'll be posting soon about tire changes and the box on the seat is new fuel line and aftermarket gas filters. Should have those up over the next couple weeks.

Happy to be back. Looking forward to sharing with you all! Let's go SME and Hive! To the moon!

This is post 23 in this months #HiveBloPoMo

Well it kind of sucks that images don't get ported over. That might be a deal breaker for me. Here's the image I posted.

I have never heard about Somee but the picture thing would definitely be a deal-breaker for me. But I'm sure they'll fix that - eventually.

Nice bike! I have always liked touring bikes. When living in Germany hubby got a sport-touring hybrid, a Yamaha TDM900 - we did some fun trips with it 🤗

SoMee has been around for a bit. It used to be an Eth token. Happy to see them come over to Hive.

Thanks, Motorcycle travelling is the best. I can't wait to take some trips this summer. That had to be pretty cool touring around Germany on a motorcycle like that. I'd love to tour Europe on a motorcycle someday!

I've not seen too much about Somee lately. It did get some attention a while back. I don't really like limitations on what I can include in a post, but anything that gets people active could be good.

Well after seeing that my images wont load outside of SoMee, I'm probably not going to do a lot of posting there until they get everything straightened out. I guess there was a lot of drama over the old token on ETH, and the move to Hive. IDK. If they continue development, and straighten out the issues with the images, I'll post there from time to time. I was expecting a little more though from them.

I saw some people posting with it where it was not clear they even knew about Hive. I do think it's important for the dapps to acknowledge what platform they run on and encourage people to explore other options. Even Splinterlands can be lacking in this. I hope it's not because they are thinking of forking off.
