A Glimpse at Freedom - (Force Painting).

Hello Steemians and Art Lovers,

It was quite aong weekend and I thank God for everything that came with it. For a very long time as an artist, I've been working and finding that which I can call my personal style/technique as an artist and I think I have finally found one!

I have always known my drawing skills to be my top strength and merging it with painting that I love has been my dream for a very long time and finally, I am living and actualizing the dream now. I'm so happy and grateful to God.

The portraiture above shows my my scribbles which I made with an acrylic based marker with so much confidence to it. I then complemented it with my painting skills in a very artistic and unapologetic manner. I just love the outcome so much!

You need to see this piece physically, you'll love it so bad!

This was at the early stage of the work, I was making use of a tiny tip marker to make my sketch of the portrait with shapes and lines I prefer. It was a very light sketch at this stage.

At this stage I was already so confident with my sketch then I shaded it with my scribble lines using a marker with a bigger tip and it was quite fulfilling. Well, I already agreed with myself that I was going to use the marker to cover up the darkest areas of the piece and the paints would come in a middle tones and highlights.

At the stage, I was just throwing my brushstrokes anyhow I deemed fit with so much confidence using varieties of brushes and I was just enjoying the process. I did enjoyed every bit of the process.

I was very precised with my highlights, I wasn't jsuy throwing it anyhow and everywhere but jsuy those little space where it's actually needed and it worked out just fine for me!

What do you like most about this piece?

MATERIALS USED.

  • Primed Canvas
  • Acrylic based Markers
  • Acrylic Paints
  • Varieties of Flat and Round Brushes
  • Palette Knives
  • Water.

This is now my own very style/technique for creating my art pieces and I call it "FORCE PAINTING" because it displays a lot of force, freedom and confidence through the process and the finished work.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
