• "Therefore, two types of knowledge have been revealed to us - one is the external knowledge and the other is the internal knowledge, namely the Sharia and the Knowledge - so the knowledge of the Shari'ah beautifies our external and the knowledge of the knowledge our inner - the result of the gathering of these two sciences is the knowledge of reality - like a tree. And the result of the assembly of the leaves is the fruit - Allah the Exalted said: "He made two seas flow in such a way that apparently both of them look like one, but there is a distance between them by which they cannot cross each other"- The truth cannot be obtained from mere knowledge, nor can the destination be reached - for perfect worship, the combination of both sciences is necessary. Only one knowledge does not work - Allah, the Most High, said: I created the jinn and the human beings only. He created for His worship - that is, He created for His knowledge - so how can a person who does not know Allah Almighty worship Him? (Sir al-Sir)
