Salt dough rose

Okay. My second salt dough work.
This time it's a #rose.
Not a perfect piece of art, but for a second piece, it's pretty good.
This time, an admixture of corn flour was used. But in my opinion, it is not suitable for this salt dough technique. Or the salt should be of a fine fraction.
It was done quite quickly. Although at first I didn't plan to make a rose.
Salt dough is quite specific in work. Because the surface dries quite quickly.

By the way, I didn't like the salty dough with the addition of cornmeal.
Cornmeal is not as "sticky".
Cornmeal dries quite quickly.
That is, not all materials may be suitable for work.
Normal glutinous flour and very fine salt
It is best to store dough waiting to be worked in plastic wrap or a bag.
If you keep the dough open while working, it quickly airs out and stops sticking.
And by the way, yes. Then the dried object needs to be primed before painting.
You can use colored dough.
It is better to use food coloring to pre-color the dough.
Natural dyes are better than artificial ones when it comes to work.
And only then can you apply primer and shade with other colors.
Simple shapes can be used for art therapy.
These can be various "carvings".
The main thing is that the trainees do not taste the dough)
