Third-Day Using SoMee.social

Typical day. Today is my third day since the last time I stumbled upon the recent updates on somee.social.

I usually do my blogging on Hive using PeakD. I then use the tag #someeofficial for my post to appear on somee.blog. When it comes to curation, #ecency is my choice for it is fast.

I have been on SoMee for 8 months now. It was @mikedcrypto who introduced the platform to me. He caught my attention through his post on leofinance.io.

During my initial exploration of the platform, my first impression is that SoMee allows short posts similar to what I see on Facebook and Twitter. It doesn't require much thinking. Yes, there is a need for such a microblogging platform on Hive to relax the mind a little bit, and also the fact that not everyone is comfortable reading long content. Such a need has been confirmed with the existence of #dbuzz and the introduction of #Threads on LeoFinance.

Using the platform, I also experienced some setbacks. I was wondering why most Hivers are not into SoMee and am also puzzled why most SoMeeans are not actively engaging in other Hive platforms like LeoFinance and Splinterlands.

Another thing that concerns me is the lack of engagement. A few months ago, I was actually thinking of exiting the platform, and then I stumbled upon an announcement that new developments will come soon. And so I decided to wait.

Three days ago was my first time logging in to the platform using some.social. At first, I felt lost about where to start. But as I continue to explore the platform, I am impressed with the many new features I see. I told to myself, “this is far better than Facebook!” Though some features remind me of the most popular social media, the good thing in SoMee is just like other front-ends on Hive, your time and attention are incentivized.

I am now excited about what’s going on in SoMee. There is now increased activity and better engagement using somee.social.

Perhaps, a month from now, I anticipate the increase in my SME power will be bigger.

Grace and peace!

Note: After encountering repeated difficulties in publishing this post on somee.social, I decided to return to PeakD instead.

Thank you for sharing. I did notice some tokens on my HE wallet but I was not aware there's a front-end for it.

Actually, I am still puzzled between somee.blog and somee.social. My post in somee.social also appears on somee.blog, but if I will use other Hive front-ends using the tribe's tag, it will only appear on somee.blog, but not on somee.social. The interesting part is that many users on somee.social are not on Hive. So somee.social can be a great way to introduce Someeans to Hive and other Hive dApps.
