As to the question about the universal applicability of the suzerain-vassal, it is not exclusive to Christians only. It is still applicable to all humans as God's creatures, regardless of whether they accept it or not. They cannot escape the reality that this world is still God's world. Moreover, from the perspective of the covenant of works, the concept of suzerain-vassal is relevant to all men and women regardless of their spiritual standing before God.
