RE: Biblical Anthropology and the Idea of Covenant

It was the practice in the Ancient Near East, as discovered by biblical scholars in their archaeological and historical studies. However, though in our time the terms are no longer used, in principle, the reality still exists. We don't have empires today like the Assyrian, Babylonian, and Roman empires that subjugate nations. However, it is a known fact that a superpower nation like the US interferes in the sovereignty of other nations and penalizes them when they move against US interests.
