The Pregnant Man (3) : A Freewrite

The forest surrounding the seemingly tranquil and quaint village of Gevado held many untold secrets, some of which were known exclusively to the residents. People living within the vicinity spoke of a mysterious entity that lurked within the tree line, never to be seen by the public eye. However, many of the locals shared an unspoken understanding that something ominous was afoot.

The inhabitants of the tiny settlement had struggled with several dangerous occurrences in the past but had never faced something like this before. Instinctively, some of the folks felt as if the creature had sprung up from the ground like a fatal infection, spreading ill omens. As if it was their fate to endure another severe strife of misfortune.

No-one could explain the sudden emergence of this monstrosity, yet tales of its apparently rampant and vicious behavior circulated wildly around Gevado, striking fear into the hearts of the people. A few of the more daring inhabitants managed to recount the gruesome figure they had experienced during the dead of night, however the majority of the locals remained too petrified to even consider venturing into the woods.

Just when all hope seemed lost, an unlikely hero emerged - the brave and determined solider, Tunkmor. Refusing to accept defeat, Tunkmor decided to single-handedly confront the dark monster in what could have been an impossible battle for survival. As the mysterious being closed in on Tunkmor’s location, the trepidation filled the air. But, displaying incomparable courage, the valiant warrior brandished his sword and confidently stepped forward.
