RE: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Education

Nationalism and patriotism are both forms of love for one's country, but they carry different implications. Patriotism focuses on love and positive contributions to a nation, while nationalism often implies a sense of superiority. When we talk about patriotism, we describe a positive bond with one's country, involving a deep affection and commitment to the well-being and values of our nation. In contrast, nationalism is characterized by an assertive preference for one nation over others, often at the expense of international cooperation. Nationalism can be seen as an exclusionary act and assertion of power, while patriotism is a subjective love of a country and the wish for it to do well.
