Tinubu Sends Message to Senate on presentation of 2024 budget

President Bola Tinubu has officially informed the Senate of his plan to present the 2024 Appropriation Bill during a joint session of the National Assembly tomorrow, slated for Wednesday, November 29, at 11 am.

This disclosure came as Senate President Godswill Akpabio read President Tinubu's letter of intent during the plenary session on Tuesday, November 28.

According to DAILY POST, the Federal Executive Council meeting held on Monday approved a significant increase in the 2024 Appropriation Bill from N26 trillion to N27.5 trillion.

Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, clarified that this adjustment was prompted by alterations in foreign exchange rates.
