UNWANTED AUTOMATION
The transformation of the planet to what it is today has been a gentle yet rapid one.
In a blink of an eye, the stone age is gone, the cave man era is no more and we have evolved to a more sophisticated planet when compared to the past.
The means of transportation have evolved from leg-edese Benz to the use of horses and chariots. Now, we are in the era where Mercedes Benz is the order of the day. Initially, the vehicles were used solely for the purpose of transportation, but in this era, it is used for pleasure, showing off and other reasons that satisfies the ego of its owner.
I wouldn't say that the human race is becoming lazier over the past centuries, however, the inventions and other things is making the human race become lazier as time goes on.
One of the many inventions by us humans is automating things. Everything has been set to be automatic. Even the mode of transportation have evolved to an extent where it can move independently. Though all these innovations and inventions are really amazing and sweet to use, it is easy for hackers to act and cause major disaster.
Artificial intelligence is now the order of the day as chat gpt, siri, and others are becoming smarter by the day. The constant upgrade of technology with the many inventions has come with a cost - the jobs of many people.
Nevertheless, there are many places in which automation should not be allowed.
Personally, I love cars. My love for cars encompasses that I have for my girlfriend. Haha. No jokes ya'know.
However, the evolution of cars to become one that makes no sound, charges instead of refuels, and drives itself is one that has no significant value. Inarguably, it is environmental friendly, saves cost and more, but I see it as useless.
Why should I buy a car that makes no sound and has no smoke coming out of its exhaust? The smoke is oxygen ya'know. Sweet Oxygen. Changing the gear of a car is as sweet as eating pawpaw. The sound is pleasant and brings peace, joy and many other sweet things.
BUT
The rise of automatic and rechargeable cars has come to spoil the fun of having a car.
Another thing that needs no automation is the care of patients in the ward.
Humans needs humans to show care for them. The love and care from another humans make the cycle of tender loving care to be complete.
Imagine something, you came to a hospital to receive treatment and you're welcome by an artificial intelligence instead of a human. You want to undergo a surgery and you see a bot gowned, and holding a surgical blade. Though technological advancement is gradually reaching the health sector, however, automating the health sector will lead to many hazards as these technologies can easily be hacked.
The effects of automating the health sector encompasses the benefits that comes from it. No cap, it is easier and faster and saves stress and time, however the sole purpose of health is to holistically treat the patient. This is something that can not be accomplished by an automatic intelligence.
The effects of automating cars is quite obvious. The joy of hearing the loud sounds of cars is gradually vanishing. Currently, a car can be passing and not be heard which may lead to an accident. The oxygenated smell of smoke from the exhaust is gradually fading and it hurts yaknow.
There is no joy that encompasses the joy that comes from the sound of your car.
