THE UNPLEASANT PRACTICE

With great joy flowing in our hearts, we have successfully entered the festive period.
Christmas was just celebrated and it was really fun. A day before Christmas was the most awesome as I met a great hiver.
This time of festivity is a time when we have fun and forget all our sorrows, struggles and pains. This is the time we bring out the brightest side of our lives and make beautiful memories with our friends, well wishers and loved ones.
There are different practices during these times ranging from decoration to killing of chicken. The most common practices withing families over here is the killing of chicken. If you don't have chicken, it means you're not up to the task and you're not "among."
THE ONE PRACTICE I DON'T UNDERSTAND
During these times, Females go to their boyfriend for money to take care of themselves. Money to buy bags, wigs, makeup, hairs, clothes, new gadgets, outings and many unnecessary things.

Anytime a lady bills me like this, my response is: go get a job because, how will you be jobless, you don't know how money comes, you're just there seated like a dog waiting for lunch then you to come ask me for money to lavish when we're not yet married?
C'mon
Moreover we're celebrating our Lord and personal savior here not going for a modeling competition.
A reasonable lady who has a job and has experience the stress attached to cash flow, will not make unnecessary demands.
It annoys me to see that these ladies will drain the financial force out of a man, in the name of looking good. I don't actually see the reason for all these things - buying all these things are just a waste of money.
Thank goodness I'm single.
Don't get me wrong, you're supposed to look good, wear nice things, e.t.c but not at the expense of someone whom you are not even sure you will end up with. You really don't know how it hurts, until you are the one paying for all the things you're purchasing.
WHAT I THINK OF THIS PRACTICE
I think it is vampiresque and parasitic.
Such ladies need to be taught a good lesson by allowing them work a 9 to 5 every single day with just 30 minutes break in between.
A lady who knows the importance and value of money will never ask things like this. Like, you're not yet married to this person and you have the morale to demand such things from him? No wonder yahoo boys in Nigeria use their girlfriends for rit**lism.
WOULD I RATHER STOP OBSERVING IT.

I hate this practice with passion. Subjectively, I think a relationship is supposed to be mutualistic. Both the male and female sharpen each other for the marriage stage and learn about each other.
When money comes into a relationship, that relationship will is bound to be doomed because love is supposed to be the binding force of a relationship not money.
WILL THINGS GET BETTER
yes things will get better, very much better. I would not spend my money on someone who may leave tomorrow for a wealthier dude. I would have my peace of mind intact and my mental health will be top notch. I will know how my money is going, and not spend on somebody who may be ungrateful. Things will be very much better.

While I do not support any babe syphoning her man in the name of celebration, however, have the point at the back of your mind that babes who demand heavily are those who have given heavily too, even if not financially but otherwise. If a man hasn't been collecting, she will not be so free to collect, let alone demand unreasonably. If she doesn't collect or demand, what's her gain if the relationship flops? So if any man doesn't want to spend so much, then reserve the lady and plan future together 😃. You can't eat your cake and have it.

No one should be a parasite to another person irrespective of gender. Both parties should work hard to be able to provide their basic needs and if a guy wants to spoil his girl, I don't think that should be a problem and vice-versa.
