THE DISCOVERY ADVENTURE

There are different religions on earth, tons of them, and Christianity is one of the many religions.

I am a Christian who believes in the God but sometimes, it gets hard to believe. Sometimes, my head starts questioning every single story I have heard about my beliefs. The "what ifs" usually becomes enormous to the extent that I give up and just keep all the questions to my self.

Don't beat me for coming clean.

Honestly, I don't actually believe that the Bible was translated 100% without replacing a word with another.

There are tons of questions I have but it can not be answered by an ordinary person. I have tried asking some pastors about it, but the only excuse they have is to start viewing my curiosity as being possessed or something.

WHAT ADVENTURE WILL I GO IF I HAVE THE RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITY

From what I have said earlier, it is obvious that I will immediately embark on an adventure to unveil every single truth(answers) behind the questions. I will go to isreal, Jerusalem, the red sea, the path the children of Israel passed before reaching the promise land e.t.c

Each and every story in the Bible, I will embark on an adventure to unveil the place and the real story. I have been hearing that the Bible is not complete, I will use this opportunity to check the validity of this information.

According to the Bible, Moses turned his staff into snakes, I will also know the validity of this information. I will look for different stories, (worth believing) and first hand views of the places where these things happened.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in the words of the Bible, I believe in every single thing but honestly, the dots are not really connecting. Sounds like a make-believe story.

I know you may say that the Lord is not to be questioned, or some spiritual things are no to be understood by we mere mortals, but i want to remind you that you should understand everything because according to the bible, we have God in us, and we are small gods. Since we have God in use, we should be able to understand everything.

WHY THIS ADVENTURE

I am an over thinker who believes in factuality, though this is not applied to my believe in the Lord, it gets hard sometimes.

My mind play tricks on me at times. (don't dare say is the work of the devil) i always think of the possibility of everything. Why did God sent the devil here to torment his people when he has the power to eradicate him? Mercy? What happened to the love he has for his people?

There are tons of things in my head that I really want to ask but no body to answer me. No one can give me the answers I seek, so, I think my believe will be built staunchly by connecting the dots my self through seeing where the events took place and hearing from real people, not the Matrix.

There's a complex philosophy in my head that not everyone can relate to and I have come to understand this. It is better to explain things to myself because I am a very complex person when thinking. I am not blasphemous, no far from that, I just want to understand properly many things. If this gift that was given to us in form of a Bible is true or not.

WHAT I HOPE TO ACHIEVE WITH THIS ADVENTURE

I don't blindly believe in anything. I know Christians say that we should blindly believe but that doesn't apply to me. I am the Thomas of my time.

What if I tell you that if you invest 50k bucks in my business, it will triple with 3 weeks without telling you the process, neither did i give you factual reasons you should invest nor did i tell you the business plan or anything. I just said bring 50k bucks and triple it in 3weeks. Would you invest? No. Well unless you hear many people you trust are saying good about the business... based on what the people you trust say, you will invest blindly irrespective of the fact that the business may be a scam. Do you understand?

This is why I need to see first hand about every thing the bible say. I believe in God, I believe that there is a supreme being who is in charge of everything, who created me but what I don't believe in is the mode of worship and what we use to worship him.

With this adventure, I will be able to connect the dots in my head, get answers to my questions and also strengthen my belief to the max.

Thank you for reading 😊 and please, do not get my perspective wrongly.

Some textual contest of the Bible might be confusing especially if we don't have someone to explain the theological expect of it. It is natural for a believer to be curious about his/her faith but what matters is where that curiousity leads you. I believe to an extent no one can really fathom the origin of most of the stories in the Bible because how many of those people do we have around now. But there is a spiritual being that was given unto us to guide us whenever we feel we need some answers and that is the holy spirit.

I'm not saying your judgement is wrong but probably if you allow more connection with the holy spirit some of this things might become clearer to you because comparing the basis of Christianity to an investment is a little far fetched. The way of the lord is beyond the thinking of humans.

the basis of Christianity to an investment is a little far fetched.

I saw this one coming... Hehe.

Honestly you're correct, and I don't want to announce my closeness to the holy spirit, but one thing I believe in is seeing.

Do you know about the matrix and the power they wield? Manipulation of information can lead to ones doom.

First of all, it's good to be curious to know more about spiritual things and the validity in them. I mean for everyone who believed God in the scriptures saw an evidence in form of a witness. However, to answer this

Why did God sent the devil here to torment his people when he has the power to eradicate him? Mercy? What happened to the love he has for his people?

You've got it all wrong here, and explaining this to a baby mind is very complex. But know this, the devil was on earth before Adam came to earth. The earth is as old as the heavens, for the scriptures clearly states that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. However in verse 2 of Genesis 1, something happened to the earth which Jesus talked about when he said; And I beheld Satan fall like lightning... It was the fall from the war in heaven that made the earth God had created become formless and void.

Man coming into the picture was supposed to have been God's everlasting punishment to Satan as Adam created in the image of God was supposed to have legislated the second heaven where Lucifer had power over. But Lucifer in a bid to destroy God's plan made man fall so the fallen man was relegated to the earth realm from Eden. Note Eden wasn't on earth, see it like a shield in the first heavens...

Explaining any further might confuse you, but just know this, even when man feel and was relegated to the earth, the devil was relegated further, but because of the fall the powers in the earth realm was given to the devil. That's why when he was tempted Jesus he said he would give Jesus all the powers of this world if Jesus bowed, and Jesus never argued about it, but rather died and rose and then said; "Now all powers in heaven and earth has been handed over to me...

I hope this answers your question

I mean for everyone who believed God in the scriptures saw an evidence in form of a witness

First of all, what evidence? And which scriptures? The same one I am doubting?

Man coming into the picture was supposed to have been God's everlasting punishment to Satan
From your explanation, you said that the devil was here before mankind and mankind was made to purnish the devil yeah? And the devil overpowered mankind and made them be banished from Eden.

Okay. Without a doubt, all these your knowledge was gotten from the Bible yeah? Okay.

Now, why will the creator who sees into the future want to do something like that? He knows too well that we are like him, smaller than him and he knows the strength that the devil posseses yeah? Then why will he send us to be with the devil here?

Secondly, are you trying to say that the sole purpose of humans is to purnish the devil? And we failed that purpose? If so, why is there now hell? What's the use of hell? If I remember vividly, the Bible says that blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. Does that mean that the meek will inherit a site for purnishment? How true is all these things? Everything you said is sounding paradoxical ya'know.

Think about it chief, think deep but don't let it fry your motherboard.

First of all, what evidence? And which scriptures? The same one I am doubting?

Hebrew 11 from vs 1 to the end talked about men of faith, you can try read from different translations of it's knowledge you seek. You can go further to study the evidence each of the men mentioned in the book of Hebrew had by doing a deep study on their lives... Stating all here would take the whole day.

Now, why will the creator who sees into the future want to do something like that? He knows too well that we are like him, smaller than him and he knows the strength that the devil posseses yeah? Then why will he send us to be with the devil here?

Here I can see you have another wrong ideology about God, First thing first God isn't sentimental, asking this is like asking why God allows good people to die. It's easy to judge things from the knowledge of mere men even the scriptures says the latter killth.

But to answer your question which I'm certain might raise other questions because these are some of the questions atheist ask...

God made good, God is good, and He created even Lucifer to be good alongside all other things that exists. But then he gave them a will and that will God gave to man formed the origin of evil that started with Lucifer and the fallen angels. So God did not allow man do anything, but man's will made man's choices and the repercussions that followed.

The book of Genesis clearly states; "And God said, let us make man in our image after our likeness... (Why) and let him have dominion over everything that creeps upon the earth (including Lucifer then). So you see God just meant good, but then man's will and choices went against God's plan, which is Good, and since God is Good, in God there's Life, Joy peace, and all... What would you expect to be outside God... if not the opposite of everything in God.

Hell came into existence when man fell and so did death. Note God had told Adam the day Adam eats of the fruit, he will die... Adam ate the fruit, and death was born.

Hell also was born, both death and hell are reward system... Just as a man works and he's paid his wages, the Bible states the wages of sin is death.

The meek will inherit the earth wasn't talking about this earth, but the new heaven and new earth that John talked about in the book of revelation.

Now you might also want to ask why God planted the tree of life and the knowledge of good and evil in Eden knowing there was a chance man would eat it. Just as bonus I will answer you, both trees where for man's pleasure, both trees where created for man, and both the tree and man needed to evolve. When Jesus died and gave us everlasting life, that life was what was imbedded in those trees, but then God needed man to evolve In him before allowing him to access that treasure. God knew he wasn't going to do another creating again, so he created everything perfectly and allowed them grow.

The fruit would have been man's final dominion over Lucifer, not because man wasn't God already, but because it was something Lucifer had access to when he was with God... It was that tree that has made Lucifer immortal and full of wisdom, knowing that if man had accessed it, there would be no loop hole in man. If you would think about anything, try think about how long Lucifer stayed with God for him to know so much about heaven and earth... Man missed the ability to access such knowledge when he ate (what I call) a premature fruit before God.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with asking questions. We aren't supposed to follow blindly, rather we are supposed to study, learn, and investigate.

Look up both apologetics and Creationism. There are many excellent sources for learning about what you are searching for.

Thank you..

It's too sad that the Christians in my country don't have the mindset of going in search of knowledge. There are tons of things about this "Christianity" that is sounding paradoxical but honestly, no body to give me reasonable answers.

Please can you share places where I could get the knowledge I seek?

And oh, thanks a lot for your support

First you said the Bible is not complete but it was written in John 21:25 “ and there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen” so we won’t say it isn’t complete that’s what was revealed to us through God.

You also said you’ll go to Jerusalem and all the places every miracles was done. Is it that you do not believe in the word in the Bible or what truth are you searching for?
I will tell you something, the Bible is like a guide for us to live this world according to God’s will and the Bible never lies it is the one thing I know that’s 100% true.
You also said why did God bring the devil to torment his children. I will like to tell you that it wasn’t God who created the devil it was through man’s greed that sin came in the world so as the devil. So God didn’t create the devil.

There are things in this world that you can never understand, If you try to you’re just disturbing your mind. There are far great things that the human mind can’t even fathom. You said you asked your pastor and no one can give you the answer that’s because there are some things we don’t have answers too.

What is in the mode of worship that you don’t believe in? What is not good about how we worship him? If God doesn’t love the way we worship him He would have told us. People have been worshiping God before you came to life and miracles signs and wonders has happened to all men and the Bible has been a great guide to mankind so what’s with you not believing in what God gave us.

Let me ask a question: have you read the whole of the Bible from chapter to chapter, scripture to scripture for you to conclude that the Bible isn't complete?
Remember Satan was also in heaven with other angels and he was called "morning star" then when he wanted to go beyond his ability in knowing more than God, what happened? God sent him down to earth and that was the beginning of evil as he was bent of creating his own kingdom, then came Adam and Eve.

Let me tell you the truth: all you need to know is written in the Bible as it is a guide for us. There are some things that will remain mystery to us till the end of time and I don't think trying to go on an adventure to get answers to your questions would work. Lol Stick to the Bible and you will understand lot of things 😊
