THE CONCEPT OF PAYING TITHE PART 2
The concept of paying tithes is one that has been argued among people for some time. some believe that tithes are to be paid by the working class alone.
From the teachings of brother Eli Soriano few days ago about the concept of paying tithes, he brought my eyes to see a wide range of things based on what we need to do as christians. i made a reaction post based on the teachings of Brother Eli on the first video. This post reaction is fir the: Is it biblical for Christians to pay tithes? (Part 2 of 2) | MCGI Topic Review.
According to Brother Eli Soriano, as christians, we do not pay anything. Salvation is free but we can give in other to help the work of salvation.
when the lord Jesus Christ assumed the office of the high priest, he will continue forever because is is allowed to continue by reason of death. Other prophets like Moses, Aron and others are not allowed to continue by reason of death.
Hebrew 7:23-24
23 And they truly were* many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24 But this man, because he continueth ever*, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
we are now under the priesthood of the lord Jesus. Based on this, there is a change in the law which also affects the paying of tithe
Hebrews 7:12
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law
to sustain the work of salvation, we do not need to collect ten percent, five percent or anything. what should we give then?
2 cointhians 9:7
7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver
The salvation is free, however it is not tithing, but we should give out of our heart. it is not fixed. we can assist the work of salvation by being a cheerful giver
2 corinthians 8:2-5
1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;
4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
Even the Macedonians gave according to what they can afford. out of their own free will.
even though the law has been changed when Jesus ascend to become the high priest, we should give out of our heart, out of free will and without grudge.
the answer to the question; As christians, is it biblical to pay tithe? Salvation is free and we need not pay any thing for it. However, we should support the ministry by giving out of free will.

You are right.
That is the major question. Giving without feeling scared or forced to, is the major thing that matters. It is not compulsory to give, but it is necessary to give.
