SOME FREE DAYS AT LAST

Compared to being a child, adulthood is a whole different hectic work on its own. You have to think far and wide and be able to provide for yourself and others in other t survive the harsh reality life has to offer. Most of the times, people who lack the strength and courage to push, often give up along the way and they tend to be broke and homeless in the nearest future.

Adulthood is like taking medication for an illness, you hate the medicine but you have to keep taking it unless you do not want to survive.

Most times, I do wish I become a child again because I would not have to worry about anything. I will not look for a job just to take care of other people, I will not work 9 to 5 every single day, neither will I be an overthinker, thinking of ways to betterment myself and others around me. Being a child is the best thing that have every happened to me yaknow. Though there is no freedom, the security is top notch as there is someone who is willing to sacrifice themselves for our survival, unlike being a adult.

As adults, we need to work our ass out with little or no breaks or holidays in-between. Some work place do not even give their workers breaks.

Honestly, we deserve more breaks than we get.

Personally, i have no breaks in between my work schedule and I find it difficult to maintain a good social life with friends and others. Sometimes, when having a holiday, our work space so not allow us to witness this holiday,probably due to how important our work is. Speaking from the medical perspective.

When most of you all are celebrating Christmas, we medical practitioners remain in the hospital with watchful eyes to tackle any casualty. Its such a drag ya'know but well, we signed up for it.

If there is anyone that deserves a free day during holidays, I think it should be medical practitioners but the problem is: if we leave for holidays, who will fill in and save lives the way we do?

If there is such a time when we get free days granted to us, I will say let the free days fall under Christmas. This is because during Christmas, everyone come back home to enjoy each other's company and also, enjoy the freedom and less stressful days.

Last Christmas was lonely for me. I could not go back home because I had something to accomplish. I stayed back, without family, friends or anyone I could properly relate with. Almost went depressed though but well, I guess that I am stronger than I imagined.

Having free days during Christmas will change a lot of things for me. I will get to connect more with family. They are already complaining that I am not always present in the family. To me, this is the most important thing I can think of. I have grown distant from my mom and siblings because of my busy schedule. I hardly cal them neither do I take their calls because when they call, I will probably be at work and I will not be able to to return the calls because I will be Soo tired after work, i will just fix myself dinner (in some cases) and sleep.

Spending more time with family however, will make them feel very happy and me too, I will be vey happy. I hate it that I am distant from my family. It pains me a lot but well, it can't be helped. One week holiday during Christmas will make a huge difference and will help me connect better with family.
