REGULATING CONTACT SPORTS
Contact sports, though the name sounds calm and less stressful, but this form of sport has proven to be one of the most stressful and high risk sports. I've had quite a lot of memories with football.
As risky as it may seem, contact sports, soccer for example, is among the best paying sports there is in the world, paying its participants millions of dollars per year.
Though I'm not a fan of boxing, I love Tyson and had to watch his fight with a dude half his age. Truly, he proves that he's the best. Being an old man and standing up till 8 rounds with a youth that is half your age is something that needs to be in the Guinness book of records. It was a nice watch ya'know.
Contact sports is really risky, high adrenaline rush can result to little mistakes. Though the mistakes may seem little, they can pose a huge threat to the daily living of players. A little rough play in a soccer pitch can lead severe injury that may hinder a players performance for a long period of time.
I have got one such experience with football when I was playing for a local team in my area. Our coach was a responsible coach who disbelieve the concept of playing rough and shooting the ball up to the sky, but he believes that slow and steady wins the race. He believes in passes. Pass to me and I pass to you. In less than 15 accurate passes, we will get to the goal post and perform wonders.
Yes, thoug my coach has this mindset, a few persons are always going the coach's belief. The play rough, and funny enough, they are the best players we have in the team. One day, I was a victim of their rough play. I received a pass, dribbled the first person and wanted to pass the ball to the next person, but then, I didn't know when i got to the ground. Somebody swept my legs off the ground. I got injured and was substituted. For a few weeks, I could not play.
There are a lot of regulations regarding contact sports. Most of these rules and regulations are for the sole purpose of safe guarding the players, but then, just as I mentioned above, some players can be very stubborn.
In my perspective, I think adding more rules and regulations to the already existing ones would go a long way in reducing the risk that these sports pose to the player. I don't concur to the fact that the sports are good as it is, mostly, boxing is very risky. One wrong hit to the nerves and a person will be left useless for life.
This is more reason why it is adviced that kids andd other people not try to replicate any violent moves at home. It may result in serious problems that may have no cure, thus, affecting the person for a life time.

Adding more rules to the rules on the ground and sticking to them are necessary to protect the image of sports.
