Travelling is something we do as humans and it is the most beautiful part of being human. Travelling not only expose one to nature, but it also exposes one to the culture, and tradition of the visited area.

Personally, one of my hobby is traveling; reasons being that it impacts me with many experience and honestly, I have visited a lot of places in nigeria and learnt lots of things from there.

I even had to use a tricycle to travel from one state of Nigeria to another... It was very risky though, but I needed to feel intense fear so I could apply the experience to my daily living and upgrade my bravery. That was why I had to take the risk, gain the experience and be braver than my past.

I have dozens of experieve from my journeys, but one worthy of note is when I was traveling from Abuja to abia state for the first nursing entrance exams I ever took. I'm not very such at which yar I took the journey but I think it's around 2019 or so.

So, I went to the car park early in the morning, abia line , to be exact and I boarded a car to abia state. Everything was going as planned, my transport ticket was handed over to me in the reception and I waited patiently for the car to start loading.

After all the ups and downs, we hit the road and everything was going peacefully and smoothly.

The journey was a long and tiring one and all I could think of was how to get home because the views from the windows was not interesting to me anymore.

When we got to Enugu state, we got to a military checkpoint and we were informed that there is a curfew starting from 8pm to 6am the next morning, however no vehicle or people is expected to be outside by that time. We were baffled because it was 7pm already but we still decided to continue the journey hoping to go out of Enugu before 8pm.

Unfortunately, we did not make it and there was no were we could park and stay the night. I was very scared at that moment because I heard rumors that people from a part of Nsukka Enugu state are cannibals.

A sigh of relief came to me when I thought to myself that I was slim, with little flesh.

We continued the journey, going against the law and towards our destination until we reached another checkpoint. It was really brutal and the police were not covering any bribe from the delivery. I was amazed, surprised, happy and scared at the same time. An average Nigerian police not taking bribes? Wow this is a miracle. My fear engulfed the surprise as they told us to follow them to the police station. We went with them after the fronts and backs trying to plead with them. When we got to the station, the DPO was friendly and requested to listen to our story. When the driver narrated everything to him, he allowed us pass the night at the police station while he left for his own house.

I don't want to talk about how the night went but you should know that I clapped for mosquitoes while they sang annoyingly melodious music in my ears, coupled with the cold weather. That was the first time I ever slept in a police station and I don't think I will ever sleep there again.

The night was a very long one and I had limited battery life which made it very frustrating. God being so kind, the next day came and we thanked the police and prepare to start moving to abia state.

Guess what happened next?

The police acted like the police I knew. Lol. They requested to be paid before our us on our way to abia state. We decided to call the DPO but he was not reachable so we had to reluctantly give them something before we resumed our journey.

WILL I LOVE TO EXPERIENCE IT AGAIN?

NO. I would not want that experience again because we have gotten the lesson from it and as such, it will be a waste of my time. Also, I don't want to sleep in a police station ever again so I will not want to experience that again.
It was a very

I have lots of experience with travelling, both when I had an accident while travelling from Abuja to abia state (2020) and lots more but this one is the story worth telling for now.

Thank you for stopping by my post, I hope to see you next time.

Wow, what do you mean by carnivores? Is it some kind of tribe? But anyway, it must have been a really scary night, and I'm glad no one took a piece out of you, and here you are today telling us this story, haha!
