Me and offline scammers

It's a good time to make a new post and just like everyone, I'm set to enter this interesting contest by the great HL community.

Fraudulent act is the topic of the day in my country and almost youth indulge in such act, well, except the ones who believe in hard work. 5 years ago, I used to be among those who practice online scams but I came to the realization of: hurting people to get material things is not worth my time and effort.

Almost everyone, if not everyone, have in one way or the other been a victim of scam, some scams were successful but some were not successful.

Karma paid me back, and I on the other have have been a victim of both successful and unsuccessful scams and I will be sharing my story to everyone, so say tuned.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH A FRAUDSTER
My experience with a fraudster is a very disappointing one because irrespective of the fact that I tasted the life of being a fraudster, I didn't see that one coming and as such, I was disappointed in my self for not getting enough experience to counteract their actions.

Well, lived a life of a fraudster but I did not add spirituality to mine and as such, I did not gain the experience of native doctors.

However, the way I was scammed was through spirituality as the fraudster was carrying local gods to aid in his activity (jazz, juju).

HOW THEY SCAMMED ME

So here's the story you've all been waiting for

The act happened sometime in 2021 when I was a freshman in the nursing school.

I travelled to Aba, abia state to see my uncle and his people and everything went well as planned. On coming back to school, on a beautiful sunday evening, I reached umuahia (the capital of Abia state) to board a taxi that will take me to Abiriba where I schooled and things were moving peacefully as planned.

However, things took a turn on me when I past a table that was set by this agbero people (people who stay by the road side to illegally collect money from taxi drivers). On that table, there was a variety of phones, both big and small. On a normal day, I don't get moved by stuffs like this but I don't know what made me to go ask them about how much they sale the phone. Funny enough, this wasn't a shop, neither was the phone in a showcase but I still went ahead to ask.

When I asked, they told me that i could get the phone for just 5,000 naira which is equals 10hive given the price of hive is 400 naira per hive. I was happy to hear this and brought out the money to collect the phone but they told me that I had to stake the money and play a game, if I win, I will give them the money and collect the phone but if I lose, they will collect the money without giving them the phone. Personally, I have a life policy against betting but did you know what I did?

Wanna find out?

I stupidly accepted to their terms. Lol. After accepting, they should me a demo and I won the demo twice at a go and I became overconfident. When it was time to stake, they won me and took away my sweet and hard earned N5k cash... I became sad and one thing about me is that I always like trying more until I get what I needed. Irrespective of the defeat, I decided the try again but he problem here was that I had no cash on me again.

Unluckily for me, there was a POS agent close by and we'll, you guessed right, I made another withdrawal of N6k, went back to the game to continue playing. I tried another demo again and I won the demo but on placing a bet, I lost without a way of finding me😹😹 it's crazy yaknow.

After the that, the shock from lossing N11k sent an adrenaline rush to my brain which made me realized myself a little and I immediately bought cold sachet water to calm myself down.

After calming down, I said to myself that I can not allow this people take away my hard earned money, so I devised a plan to collect at least 1k from them. Irrespective of the fact that I still had some money, I went to the guy that scammed me to plead with him so he could give me some money so I could board a cab back to school which he reluctantly agreed. Now here is where the mysterious thing happened.

The man took the pen and short rope we used in playing the game, he placed it on his forehead, looked up for few seconds and said okay, then he gave me 1k and instructed me not to look back while going.

Being a stubborn fellow, I had plans of looking back but I mysteriously forgot that I had plans of looking back when going. I did not look back until I got to the park where I will board a taxi.

HOW THE ENCOUNTER WENT FOR ME

It was fun, but filled with disappointment and well, I was happy.

I was disappointed in my self to allow things like that entice me and I was also disappointed in myself for not recognizing a scam when I saw it.

I was happy because I gained an experience. I really love experiences and honestly, at times I intensionally do things just to get experience.

The game was actually fun because it was filled with tensed moments.. I almost got a heart attack 😹😹😹

HOW IT AFFECTED ME?

Well, I wouldn't say it affected me negatively though but currently, I am wise enough to to fall for any jazz and preventively run away from any jazz as soon as I notice it.

I actually gained experience which to me, is the best thing that happened to me that day.

Well, I will advice everyone to stay away from any gadget that is not being sold in shops, or supermarkets because they may turn out to be a scam.
Thank you for stopping by my post, I hope to see you next time.

I have seen several stands like thissssssss especially in the market square. And they make you feel it's easy to win but they have a spell cast that when a person crosses that line to make enquiries about how they play such person is already charmed and it takes only grace to live it haha.

Have you joined the Zealy Campaign?

Haha

They always like persuading people and giving them hopes, I already know their pattern and is better to avoid them. What makes it complex?

Navigating through the site is something else... Also, it needs permission to my discord which I'm not actually comfortable with

My brother the used charm ooo, because on a normal day, I wouldn't fall for such cheap tricks.. it's currently funny to me but well, lessons learnt.

But guy.. You shouldn't have gone the second time oo

Bro when someone is under a spell, it's only God's grace and enough adrenaline rush 😹😹 that can save that person. You wouldn't understand except you have first hand experience

I am glad you realized hurting people like that is very wrong. You see, I am always like a soldier on a mission when I am going out cos I won't like to be carried away by things.

It is nice to know you weren't hurt with their charms.

I have heard and seen cases where something like this happened. When neighbor of mine experienced such and shared his story, it taught me a lesson not to dabble in such acts.

Thank you for sharing.

What matters is that you gained and learned some lessons in this story. Most people wouldn't know which is scam or not until they have tasted it and that will help them to be more careful next time.
