Each day comes with a great opportunity that's unlike no other.
We sometimes regret the fact that we were not able t make things right when we are younger, but then, we still feel reluctant, or should I say, lazy to do what we failed to do. Welp, time and age is not on nobody's side, and as such, it is only important that you do the needful right away.

I love the fact that I get to be among the living today, I woke up strong, though somewhat tired, but im grateful for the gift of life. There are many people out here that wish that they have full health and strength like I do, but then, they have none. Living is the greatest gift I have every gotten in life and I'm happy and grateful for that.

So, I'm on afternoon shift today and I'm very happy to see my patient walking again. It gives me a great joy to see him up and walking. God, the smile on my face is really bright. It's really been long I smiled like this ya'know.

The patient was a victim of gunshot when travelling back to the east from Lagos. I don't have accurate details of who shot him, but then, he was brought to the hospital in a very critical condition and he needed immediate attention.

Welp, after a few weeks of nursing care, he was able to walk around the hospital today. When I came to work, I saw him seated outside and I was really amazed. I rushed to him with a smile and I shook his hand while he smiled back.
