Is This The End Of Traditional Libraries?

We are in that day and age where technology has taken over literally everything, ranging from art to learning methods. The goodies offered by technology is not something that can be over looked as its too good. But then, with all these goodness comes a down side.

Technology has greatly influenced the mode of lectures received by students. The provision of a projector into the academic system as a visual aid, is a game changer as it aids in improving the rate in which students understand and assimilate lectures, most especially astronomical, medical and other difficult lectures that require the use of visual aid.

Though it has a down side, technology has positively impacted the academic system and revolutionized it to what it is today. Gone are the days when people travel from one city to another in search of a good library to carryout their research work. During the days when technology has not grown to what it is today, the only way to get knowledge is by visiting a library, but welp, in our world today, the introduction of online libraries has made it possible for information and knowledge in general to be gotten from the comfort of our home.

But then, the big question here is, can we totally rely on the internet to give us accurate knowledge and information? would there not be any form of manipulation and stuffs? Would the Internet succeed in overshadowing traditional libraries?

Like i said earlier, the internet has its own flaws. Many things we see online are not true which leaves us with a thread of doubt in our heart. What if the book we are about to read from the internet was not actually presented as it was written by the original author in the original offline book?

Aside that, some people prefer to read from a traditional library instead of reading online or have an AI read to them.

I am one of those many people who prefer to get a hard copy of books instead of reading from my phone screen.

For me, having an offline library is a thing to flex. I will always want to create a space in my house that is exclusive for ready and making research.

When reading with a device, there are lots of distractions from applications running in the background. This can cause somebody to leave what they are reading to check out a message that pops up.

From my perspective, I don't think the digital age will overshadow traditional library. There are many important knowledge that is being stored in libraries, and to access it, a person needs to be a core member.

These information can not just be uploaded to the internet, as it can be hacked at anytime irrespective of how secured it seems to be.

Traditional libraries are still very much needed as it is safer, and causes lesser strain to the eyes as compared to when reading from a device. Also, it aids concentration and it is easier to understand.

Thank you for reading.

The distraction that comes with using my phone to read is second to none.
Recently, I was reading with it, and then boom, I got a notification from Facebook, and I went to check it; from there, I got so carried away that I couldn't continue reading.

Thats what happened, having a hard copy of our materials is still important.

Personally I can't deceive myself that am reading online because of so many distractions and then constantly fixing my eyes on my phone screen for long gives me unnecessary migraine which is why the traditional library should still be in place.

For me the only problem I see here is constantly staying on the screen of the phones 📱 or the laptop 💻.

I usually just have to download the informations that are vital and print them out.

Then reading online should also have a systematic plans. Like putting off our notifications as to enable us concentrate especially if they are important online studies. This usually helps a lot.
