HOW I BEGAN TO LOVE HIPHOP 2//CLEAN PLANET ACTIVITY

I lived like this throughout my stay in the northern part of Nigeria. I could not carelessly make handsigns because i was scared that i will make an illuminati hand sign and be sent to hell.

I really love hiphop, but i could not bring myself to listen to it because of what i was told. After i travelled to the east, those beliefs began to fade away from my heart. Though still fearful, I decided to forget my fears and listen to what i love.

After a while, i travelled back to the north to stay with my aunt for the holiday. I was surprised at what i saw. Her children were listening to these hiphop songs. J cole, Lupe fiasco, Jay z, and Kendrick Lamar were always on repeat.

I immediately thought that these people were going to hell. I though of the worst, and refused to associate with them, so that they will not influence me.

As time goes on, i decided to confide in my aunt, and she explained things to me. After a long time of trying to convince me, i finally gave in and the fear in me began to vanish. I was no more listening to these music with fear in my heart, but i was able to listen to it with a clear conscience, knowing that i am not doing anything bad.

Gradually, i began to see myself singing along and rapping to some scrap beats. I love many rappers, Kendricks beef with Aubrey got me pumped up. Eminems new album was fire. As at the time of making this post, I just heard that Diddy got arrested, Still don't know why, but I will find out.

I began to make remix for my favourite songs, both afro naija and hiphop. Currently, i am working on a remix - Eminem, who knew. I have finished rapping the first verse, two more verses to go.

And thats how i went from being scared of hiphop, to being a core fan of hiphop.
