ACTING OUT IF CHARACTER, CHANGE AND MANIPULATION

Though we are very much similar and we all have that red liquid flowing in our veins, our psychological make up vary from one person to another.

One unique thing about all of us is that we all have a pattern of behaviour that we exhibit.

When I saw the topic of this prompt, my mind immediately went straight to my school. I know you may think - why is this guy always talking about his school? Well, that's because of half of the experience I have currently were all gotten from school. Some changes were made in school, though I don't like these changes I made, I had to make it.

Before I came into this school, I am known as the person who never smiles and is always serious. I believe that a person is supposed to smile less, think more and accomplish more goals. I don't believe in casually talking as it will yield no result but waste time. I don't make friend who are of no significant value and I don't do anything that will not benefit me in the short or long run. Based on this, I am always reserved, always calculating was to elevate myself and be better, and staying away from people. It got to a point, my mom made a joke saying; if they give me a chance, I will want to leave civilization and go to where i will be alone. I smirked at the dry joke, knowing too well that she is correct.

Everything started changing when I began to watch amine (Japanese animation) and read manga. I read soul land, spirit sword master e.t.c. These animation, manga and mahua began to change me gradually as I realized that in other to get what you want, you need to use people.

When I started schooling as a nurse, everything was pissing me off because no body respected privacy, they always want to talk to me, every time, they will walk up to me with stupid conversations that will yield no positive impacts.

Some will start talking about females while the females talk about material things, the price of iPhone, wigs e.t.c and all these things honestly, piss me off. I had to start avoiding everything and make serious boundaries.

THE TIME I ACTED OUT OF CHARACTER

Everything became worse when I was made the course representative. I wanted to decline, but couldn't.

During one of the silly conversations, somebody mentioned being the SUG President, so I decided to make inquiries about it. I did my research and I got to know what I needed to know.

I set a goal to become the president of my school, but there was a catch,I had to be social. It is something I hated with passion but well, I had to be social with everyone so I could get what I wanted.

I began to listen the silly conversations, I began to smile more, though it looked awkward to me, but I managed. I began to give people opportunities to reach me, teach my junior collegues, and also, went very very close to the lecturers.

Everyone was surprised because of the change, but I kept my motive hidden from them. If I was asked about the change, I will just look for something else to say.

HOW IT TURNED OUT?

I Became a well respected person in school and everyone wanted me to be the president. They were encouraging me and even promising to fund the campaign. I was amazed and decided to continue.

A good friend of mine showed interest to be the president and I was happy.

After sometime,I noticed fear in him, so I decided to talk to him which he opened up. He was scared because I was contesting. I reassured him but his fear was did not disappear. After a day, he made a deal with me,saying I should build up another body and name it the senate (I could do that because of the influence i have in the school), which I will be the president and he on the other hand will be the SUG President after which he told me the works of the senate. Being a selfless person, and I did not want him to keep feeling the fear, I agreed to his deal without a second thought.
After everything, he became the student union government president and I became the Senate president.

Now, here is where it became interesting.

The same person that made the deal with me, went behind my back and was fighting against me.

He went straight to our principal and gave her reasons why there should not be two bodies governing the school.

She called me, and I said re-convinced to allow both bodies, because from the look of things, the president has a bad motive. She agreed with me but pleaded that instead of being the senate body, we should be the electoral body to avoid troubles. I understood her perspective, so I decided to step down and dissolve the senate.
After that, I realized that he manipulated me into agreeing to his terms so that he will be able to easily remove me from he government. I was really bittered because I saw it as per I am doing something for a friend, not knowing that he was a wolf in sheep clothing.

I made plans of how to manipulatively dismantle the government, I studied his weakness carefully and studied the government carefully. After that, I set my revenge plan and went into action.

I focused on the SUG President and made sure he did not accomplish anything during his regime.

I indirectly turned the entire school against him, an made them see his true colors.

The government was also dissolved, just he made me dissolve my government. His own was more humiliating as it was done in public and everyone knew him as the president that ate students money, almost 4 million Naira and he did not do any project.

I orchestrated many events and made sure that he did not do anything. I stayed behind the scenes and was pulling the strings through people.

Though not content after the revenge, I made sure he felt what I felt, and he will not betray a friend next time.

After the event, I kept on being as social as I could because I found more happiness but I stayed away from stupid talks, trusted less and was still strict.
