The thing with youtube channel is that you must not give up... be consistent... posting 1 vid every week, is better than posting 10 a day, and then not posting anything for 2 months and then posting 10 again... got to be consistent and not give up... I am now at 610 subscribers, which is super tiny but I see myself at 1000 subscribers end of year.
