In Pro 27:9, it says ointment and perfume rejoice the heart. Esther in Est2:12 was adored with perfume for her purification, and in Ps 45;8, it talks about perfume.

Our Lord Jesus was anointed with ointment of spikenard. It was the most expensive perfume of that era. Some people tried to condemn the act, but Jesus said that they should leave her alone. In everything, let your moderation be made known, it is when an object is idolise or exalted above measures that such could become a sin. The Holy Spirit could even tell some not to use it because of possible abuse of it, but it should not be generalised to all. The perfume that triggers asthmatic attacks to others should therefore be avoided. If eating meat could cause my brother to stumble, I would rather not eat meat.

I belief that perfume is used to turn bad smell to good smell. I also belief that as a Christian having the Spirit of God knows what's good.

I was in UCH some years back to see a doctor, when it was my turn the woman that left b4 me came back to ask the doctor "why is it that the operation on her daughter wouldn't be possible"? and he answered her in my presence.

The doctor said that it won't be possible at that time because after the operation her skin will not be able to be stitched because she was applying perfume on her skin directly instead on the clothe now damaging the layers of her body.

If it's a must for you to use perfume it's on your clothes not on your skin. God will give us understanding.
