Outside, winter has gone crazy

Outside, winter has gone crazy.
It throws snow and immediately rains.
God has a mess under his feet.
But the Old Man sleeps under the clouds.
And on earth there is a continuous bedlam.
Is it winter? Autumn? What time of year is it?
The kids are looking at the sled with longing,
There's water under my shoes.
Wake Up, Old Man! I want winter so much!
Lush snowdrifts, strong frost.
But God has rainbow dreams,
Where the eternal May beats like a bird in the palms.
