My Actifit Report Card: February 20 2026

Hey Actifitters,

With work, preparing our week end, getting the house in a slightly better shape and a few other things to finish, yesterday was a very busy day. For sure, not enough time for our usual long walk to the forest. We only went to the small forest behind the front yard.

Kaia already knew something was different when she saw all the preparation, and of course the luggage. So I wished we could have walked longer with her, but she did have lots of fun running around and jumping over the obstacles. So much fun, she was just a blur on some of my photos.

We quickly went around the small forest a couple times.

And added a short loop in the neighborhood.

Even Le Chat knew something was different because she came out of nowhere to greet us in the front yard. She has several hiding spots outside, but this time I really have no idea where she jump out from.

But I think the real reason was she just wanted food and spend a couple hours relaxing inside. Maybe she also guessed she was going to spend the whole week end by herself outside. I did leave a lot of food for her. Even if the raccoons steal some, she should have more than enough until Sunday evening.

And finally in the afternoon, we drove up North for our weekend getaway. For about an hour near the end, the conditions weren't ideal, with a wintry mix and snow falling, but overall the drive wasn't too bad. We made it to Boyne City, Michigan just in time for a burger and a few drinks, and we'll be ready for an early start on Saturday morning. In the meantime, here is a nice view somewhere between our motel and the small downtown. We like it there, we can easily walk to a bar or restaurant. Not needing the car in the evening is a great bonus.

My final step count was higher than expected, I am pretty sure Actifit was very generous with the steps. But I do think my actual count was over 20k, which was the bar for #poprzeczka, I'm safe a few more days. Snowboarding doesn't usually bring a lot of steps, even though it requires significant effort, so my chance to stay longer will probably be on Monday.
