My Actifit Report Card: October 1 2025

Hey Actifitters,

After several busy days, I tried to get back into the workweek routine. Of course, that means a few breaks near the forest behind the yard.

I like how the next sequence went down: that deer locked eyes with me first, then with Kaia, then it's a blurry chaos of course!

When she came back, Kaia was following another scent trail.

But Le Chat also joined and that broke her concentration.

Before sunset, we headed to the bigger forest, with a first stop at our sunset spot. Very fiery colors!

I guess there's slightly more colors since last time we went there, but still light.

Kaia doesn't care, just new scents everywhere!

The sunset colors lingered a very long time, and even on our way back, it was tempting to walk till the end of some these streets for a better view.

But we didn't extend our walk too much as the Moon was already high in the still dark blue sky.

And back at home, we met another deer. This time, I put Kaia in a stay so I had enough time to prepare and get a shot with both of them once I released her. That was a smart deer, he just ran on a big circle around the yard and fled the other way. Poor Kaia is not as fast as she used to be and couldn't get anywhere close to him. She'll keep trying though!

And finally, once it got really dark, I made another attempt at Moon shots with the telescope I mentioned some time ago. I think I got a few really nice photos, this is my favorite:

I was also supposed to run since I couldn't the past few days. But among other pain, my left ankle/Achilles was very painful for some reason. So we'll give it one more rest day and see how it goes. Step count wasn't bad anyways.
