My Actifit Report Card: September 1 2024

Hey Actifitters,

Even though it was a long week end, we didn't go anywhere special. But with the sunny and finally cooler weather, we of course spent lots of time outdoor. I finally figured out what that very loud noise was a few nights ago: this tree broke and fell. Luckily it fell above the fence and outside of the yard, not damaging anything. Other trees in the same spot seem just as weak though.

Of course, Le Chat joined us out there. Like I already said, the older she gets, the more attention she wants.

She even helped Kaia check the whole perimeter.

But she didn't follow when we went behind the front yard to check if the deer were still there.

So we just went to the forest next.

Of course, Kaia chased a few critters, mostly deer and squirrels, as usual.

Even with the cooler temperature, the mosquitoes were quite annoying. But we still went further in the forest.

It was cooler, but with all that running, Kaia was huffing and puffing!

So we slowed down a bit to visit the last part of the trails.

Since we had plenty of time, we made our Cubiverse vault detour.

And finally we walked back home through the forest shortcut.

I'm glad I saw this little guy before Kaia did, because I doubt she'd have been gentle with it.

She was already leading the way out of the forest anyways.

Later in the day, I really struggled with what other activity to do: a run (I usually prefer not to run two days in a row, but my run the day before wasn't too long), a bike ride, another walk, and doing nothing was also a very likely option! In the end, we went for another walk. Good choice because it was chow time for wildlife: deer everywhere and a few bunnies as well.

It was too late to catch the sunset but we saw the final colors. We just walked in the neighborhood for a while, great to wind down before the night.
