My Actifit Report Card: August 23 2024

Hey Actifitters,

After the excitement of the concert the day before, we were back into the routine yesterday. And with a sunny weather, that of course includes some yard time with Le Chat and Kaia.

It's usually followed by our daily walk late afternoon, with a first stop behind the front yard.

Some more exploration for Kaia and Le Chat.

And cuddles time before we leave for the forest.

As soon as we arrived in the forest, we saw a group of deer. They were surprised for a second, just before fleeing with Kaia in tow.

I guess she didn't hurt too much because she chased them all!

Since we started earlier than most days, we had plenty of time to walk all the trails.

Like I said many times, the sun through the leaves is just a photo set up I cannot resist.

Near the last part of the trail, a groundhog crossed right in front of us. Good thing Kaia was tired from running after deer, because she didn't react too fast, leaving time for the groundhog to hide in this hollow tree and for me to put the leash back on.

It was good timing to catch the sunset, just as we got out of the forest.

Back at home, we once again found more deer. This one was almost taunting Kaia, he was lucky I saw him first and didn't leave Kaia off-leash as she normally is when we get close to home.

I finished the day's activities with a run. Kind of short, just a little over 4 miles, but my best pace this year. First time below 8 minutes a mile. Still progressing but I need to step it up some more.
