My Actifit Report Card: August 6 2024

Hey Actifitters,

The weather forecast yesterday said it would rain all day. They were partly correct. It started raining during the night (with one of the loudest thunder strike I've ever heard!) and continued during the day, but it finally stopped in the middle of the afternoon. Kaia wanted to check the damages in the yard. It wasn't too bad, just this one big branch. Surprisingly it actually fell before the storm started, I heard it before going to bed.

Le Chat didn't care about the damages, but she just wanted attention!

She got plenty from Kaia, cuddles time!

A bit later, we of course went for our daily walk with Kaia. Our stop behind the front yard was very short because Le Chat decided to stay inside.

Since Kaia seemed in pain the day before, I wanted to keep our walk on the short side. But we went to the forest anyways. I thought there'd be less mosquitoes because of all the rain, and the fact the temperature dropped significantly. Well, no such luck, they were as relentless as ever.

I was right about the floods though. Just after the entrance, the trails were already mostly under water.

I left Kaia splash around for a while, before we turned back and got out of the forest.

Right outside, in the first yard, a deer was trying to hide for a nap. Kaia caught its scent but didn't see it. My camera did.

The sky was a mixed bag when we stopped for a Cubiverse vault near the road construction. Some blue with some menacing clouds.

That's where we turned back and walked home. We met again this cat on the way. Still terrified of Kaia!

It's not really obvious on this shot, but the clouds were very menacing at the end. I was a bit worried the rain would start again.

However, I wanted to go for a run. That's another reason we kept the walk shorter. The cooler weather was perfect for a run. And indeed it was by far my best effort so far this season. Just over 5 miles, but significantly faster than last runs. More details coming with my Exhaust post when I find the time to write it.
I finished my run just as darkness fell, so that was pretty much it for the day's activities.
