My Actifit Report Card: April 2 2024
Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was quite similar again, except this time, the forecast said it would start raining earlier and for once they were right! When we were exploring behind the front yard, it started raining already.
Not really a problem for Kaia
The forecast was pretty clear that the rain would not stop until much later, but unlike the day before, I came prepared with waterproof gear. So we didn't let the rain stop us and headed towards the forest. Even before we got there, we met another group of deer, well I am not sure if it's another group or the same one we meet all time. They also didn't seem to mind the rain. I guess they don't really have a choice anyways.
They were not very cooperative, so it took me some time to catch decent photos. So Kaia was really eager to go off-leash, as soon as we reached the trail.
I was hoping the trees would protect a bit from the rain, but they have no leaves right now, so no protection!
Same for the teepees. We tried, but no luck either!
I think Kaia wanted to say: "You dummy, I could have told you that..."
We were already in the rain, so I figured we'd catch a couple Cubiverse vaults too.
But when we went back into the forest, the trails were getting seriously muddy.
We met another dog walker. Just like me, she didn't expect to meet anybody else in this weather and kept her dog off-leash. So of course, both our dogs ran at each other before we noticed we weren't alone. Luckily they didn't fight, and we quickly put the leashes back on them. Probably a good thing because Kaia would have for sure jumped in all the puddles otherwise.
Our detour in the neighborhood was a bit shorter than usual. Even with waterproof gear, that wasn't exactly fun. Back at home, just like last time when we got caught by heavy rain, Kaia rushed in her crate to dry.
She looks sad here but I can guarantee she actually had fun!
Well, let's hope this bad weather clears up soon. I really like snow, but not a fan of the rain.

Well, I really prefer winter, so I would rather get a few more very cold days and in Michigan this can happen till very late. But really, I'll take anything instead of this constant gloom and rain.
