My Actifit Report Card: January 18 2024

Hey Actifitters,

We got a little bit more snow yesterday, probably overnight, or maybe in the morning. That was a good surprise. And since it's colder, the snow was much lighter and fluffier. It wasn't a whole lot, but enough to cover all the previous snow. Unfortunately the day was quite busy with work, phone calls, and stuff that needed to be done inside the house. So, when we got ready for our long walk of the day, it was already completely dark. No big deal since there was no sunset to catch, and you know how much I like walking in the snow at night!

When we arrived at the pathway leading into the forest, it seemed even quieter than usual.

Kaia tried to listen really hard but she couldn't hear anything.

The only noise was the snow crunching under our feet, I love that noise!

Kaia finally caught the scent of a few squirrels but as often, she came back without anything.

As can be expected, anywhere we went inside the forest, we didn't meet a soul. Just as we like!

Look at that confused face. What's going on, are we leaving?...

We did, but of course not without a short stop near our tree friend. Like I mentioned in the past, I will keep monitoring until something happens with its leaves.

Since we had plenty of time, we added lots of distance in the quiet neighborhood. Winter night walks are definitely one of my favorites.

At the end of our walk, it was pretty foggy or cloudy, but it's just amazing what Samsung phones can do with the Moon.

And that was it. In the end, one of my best step counts in a while, it was a pretty good day, even if busy.

Thanks! Yeah, I saw in Europe it started to get a bit colder around the time I left to come back home. I missed it then, but at least it's finally cold here. Most likely not for long though, we'll see next week how it goes. Have a great week end, !ALIVE

Do you take pictures with night mode on from your camera? All photos are bright and everything is visible; no sign of darkness.

Most of the times yeah, the night mode is pretty good now, even handheld. If it's not enough, I sometimes add more brightness in Snapseed, but it's often not even needed. It does bring up the green colors a bit more, but it's not bad. On rare occasions, I use a separate light source, like a flashlight, it creates some very different effects.
