It's finally time!

I can't even tell you how many times I've written about R-Planet. If you haven't heard of it, R-Planet is a game on the WAX blockchain that started as a blockchain version of the game Little Alchemy. Users were required to stake NFTs from other WAX projects to mine AETHER, the native crypto token in the game. This token has been used for buying basic elements to combine and try to invent new elements. Really not much of a game, honestly unless you enjoy trying to figure out the combination of elements to invent new stuff.

Most people that got into R-Planet early literally just used it to farm AETHER to sell for a profit. Realistically, that's what initially attracted me to it in the beginning because the price of AETHER was very high. At one point I was farming about 14,000 WAX per month worth of AETHER and just dumping it. Just like everyone else, I spent some decent money on mining rigs and such only to watch the price of AETHER go to almost nothing rather rapidly. It left a lot of people holding worthless AETHER mining rigs, and I was one of them.

The difference is though... I've always known that the plan from R-Planet was to build out an MMO game. Even when the value of the token continued to plummet, I held on to all my mining rigs and may mint #1 Elements. They continued mining AETHER the whole time, and they started to add use cases for it. They launched the R-Planet DAO, crafting of robots for the game, and even revamped the staking mechanics to slow the inflation rate of AETHER.

Now that we are inching closer and close to the launch of R-Planet Conquest, it's time for the closed Alpha testing to start. 1,000 lucky R-Planet players will be selected via a lottery-style random selection system. This closed Alpha phase will be an all-vs.-all server that is a fight to the last 100 standing players. The final 100 players left in the closed Alpha will receive Hero NFTs that will be usable in the full version of the game. That's pretty sick! I've been entering all the Alpha seasons of The Sandbox, so I feel like this is a good way to get the hype going.

900 of the close alpha passes will be distributed through the lottery, and the other 100 will be distributed via marketing campaigns. I think this is a fair way to do things, but I have a feeling whales are going to manipulate it. Anyway - basically you're going to need AETHER to buy lottery tickets and I know that there are some accounts with insane amounts that will likely manipulate the drawing... I guess that's how lotteries work.

Each alpha lottery ticket will cost 100,000 AETHER, which is roughly 5-6 cents when converted to USD. Not too bad, you can get a shit ton of tickets for only a few dollars worth of WAX if you don't already have a bunch of AETHER. The thing about it is, many accounts have massive piles of these tokens accumulating in their accounts every day. There's going to be some serious lottery wars going on. My hopes are that all the AETHER from the sale gets burned.

So grab that AETHER, swap some other shitcoins for more, and get ready to enter the alpha lottery. I have been waiting to play this game for a very, very long time and I'm a little excited. I hope I'm one of the lucky 1000 to get into the alpha test. The lottery kicks off in a little over 4 days, so we have a little time to get as much AETHER stacked up for tickets as possible. I know I have a bunch of shitcoins in my WAX wallet that are going to get swapped.
