Somee - A Hive Front End Worth Checking Out

Somee

Somee is a social media platform that originally had its own blockchain. I remember downloading it some years ago, making an account, and then posting a few times. I never really got into it because there weren't a lot of people using it. The app was (and still is) horrendous and it barely worked. It was one of those apps that just lived on my phone, rent free, for years. I recently learned that they have been doing a bit of a rebuild and relaunch. @mikedcrypto inspired me to check it out again and encouraged me to start sharing content there as well. Thanks for lookin out bro. Much love. At this point, I look at it as a Hive frontend. The app is complete shit and desperately needs and update, but the website is pretty awesome. Right on the front page, they highlight some benefits of using the platform over other social media. Of course, we all know that we own our Hive account and we're able to earn multiple different cryptocurrencies from our content. Even if you don't use the Somee frontend to post your content, you can always use the #someeofficial tag to make your content appear there. This will make your content eligible for earning SME tokens.

SME is a Hive engine token similar to LEO tokens. These SME tokens can be powered up and turned into Somee Power which determines your curation rewards. The more you have staked, the more your vote is worth and the more your curation rewards. The price of the token is extremely low right now but that's the best time to get it. Get in early before everyone else does. The SME token exists on Hive Engine and also exists on Ethereum (for some reason....). It's not only what gives your account more power, but it can also be used to vote on proposals from the Somee DAO. Since I recently started using the someeofficial tag, I've started earning some so I completed my first power up!

The SME rewards are distributed in the same way as HIVE. 50% liquid and 50% staked as SME Power. I powered up 5758 SME today after getting my first week of payouts.

After powering up, I have now 11,517 SME power and I'm excited to watch this stack grow along with my other Hive Engine tokens.

I plan to use the tag on all of my posts because not only is it another way to earn tokens, but it's a way to get your content to a wider audience. The people that have been using Somee for a long time may have never used Hive. Now that the 2 are integrated it makes sense to get your content out to that audience as well. Who wouldn't want to earn yet another token that could easily increase in value? Hive has the power to create many millionaires with its crazy ecosystem and token economy on layer 2. We are extremely lucky to be here in the early stages of all this and I highly encourage you to stack as many tokens as possible.

I guess I just don't see how they can "take my money" when I'm earning tokens by using a tag?

Now somee is just a hive community not a stand alone thing like past 6 years. A company with a bad record...... The take my money term came when the freezed unstake or simple power down. Imagine you have your somee staked in there plateform and boom you can't unstake it any more. I hope you understand the seriousness of the matter. The link I shared with you is important if u wanna invest in the future of somee. Using a tag and extra some extra is ok but what you are collecting as a token might become dust someday. There are so many tokens out there and only 9 tags we can use to earn them. Why not use pob, vyb, neoxian, palnet? And more?

Eh, not really interested in investing. Just earning. I know they've had a Rocky past but I don't really care. I use all of those tags as well.

Also just re-read your post and wanted to mention that SME is different than the ERC governance token. $SME !== $SOMEE. It's 2 different tokens.

Ohhhh! I gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up about the SOMEE governance token. I missed out on the new Chummy drop unfortunately...

It was impossible anyway. One person got like half the drop to themselves and listed everything on atomichub for 5x the price.

I got 600mbps internet and didn't come anywhere close to getting anything.

Sheesh! I would have been in the same boat. I have the 600 mbps connection and I doubt I would have had any luck. Damn scalpers.
