Advertising Your NFT/Crypto Scam is Actually Really Cheap...
So how much would it cost to pull off an NFT scam?
Promoting NFT & Crypto scams is actually very cheap.
It's scary to think that people are able to whip up a planned NFT rug pull or crypto pump and dump scheme in a cheap way. Would you believe that a lot of your favorite crypto and NFT influencers are actually being paid behind the scenes? Did you know that it's also illegal to promote a good or service without disclosing that it's a paid advertisement?
This is not to say that there aren't legitimate projects that pay for influencer promotion though. There are. The major problem is that said influencers with thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of followers, could care less if the project is legit or not. They get their paycheck, send out the tweet or whatever and move on to the next one. No harm, no foul, right?
This comprehensive list of crypto/NFT influencers comes to us coutesy of the one and only zachxbt on Twitter. The list is actually insane. Like, this is surely only a tiny fraction of the actual amount of influencers but it's a pretty long list. It gives the influencer's Twitter follwing, cost of a "shill tweet", and the cost of a retweet. Some of these are on the cheaper side with less followers so you can scam on a budget.
Others are a lot more expensive, like Lindsay Lohan, for example. 8.2 million people she can shill your scam to in 1 second for ony $25,000. Want her to retweet your project's shill tweet? Only $20,000. You see what I mean? For literally $25,000 you can potentially trick 8.2 million people into at least clicking on a link for your project.
Wanna really maximize your scam? Have them tweet a giveaway of your shit NFT that requires the people entering to retweet and tag friends. There you go. Now you have spent $25,000 and have 8.2 million people potentially telling at least 1 other person to retweet it too. This is how this shit spreads like wildfire.
Then after you spend the $25,000 to make that happen and sell out of your NFTs before disappearing... You can spend even more to hit 20 million people for not a lot more money. We're talking roughly $80,000 will get you a shill tweet from a ton of influencers totaling about 20 million followers. Imagine if you could get half of those 20 million to retweet or tag a friend?
You're gunna be slinging out shit NFTs faster than you can even think about it. It wasn't my plan to come here and give you all the secrets to NFT scamming. It also wasn't to say that I'm a professional NFT scammer or even know how to do it. I just see a lot of this shit happening on a daily basis. I often write about it.
It gets me thinking like... How much would it actually cost to run just one of these scams that can easily get you life changing money at the expense of others? The answer sadly is not very much.
If you have a shit load of money or are able to trick enough people to give you money, you can get to the big leagues. Bitboy Crypto is offering a full video review for only $40,000. That gets your shit coin or NFT in front of 1.17 million viewers. Unfortunately we live in a world where people's attention gets monetized heavily.
Getting the attention of a human with a brain that can make decisions is actually very valuable. Sadly, we live in a world full of degenerate gamblers with incredibly short attention spans. That's why it's not completely insane for someone to drop $20,000 on a tweet to advertise on Twitter.
I'm not saying to go out there and scam people. What I'm saying is that most of the crypto promotions you see from "influencers" is paid behind the scenes. Most of it is bad. When you see Lindsay Lohan talking about NFTs, it's not just her liking a project or wanting to show others. You're mistaken, my friend. She got paid a fat fucking bag to tell you about a stupid JPEG.
Pay attention. Stay safe. Don't get scammed.

This is interesting. For small amount of money, vyoy can send out that many tweets. If just 1% respond then they could lose a lot of crypto !
The flipside of this is that it shows how valuable having a list of engaged followers is!
