Here is my version of ‘Honey butter fried chicken’
In korean they called ‘Heoni-beoteo-chikin 허니버터치킨’ I had this honey butter fried chicken first time when I lived in Sydney, Australia about 8 years ago. They did an amazing Honey butter fried chicken and I still remember the flavour until now. It’s absolutely delicious and a must try recipe for a #fakeaway meals!!

Ingredients
4 portions
500 g chicken breasts (cut into pieces)
2 tbs minced garlic
1 tbs minced ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 egg
1/4 cup corn flour
1/4 cup plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tsp chilli powder or paprika
4 cups vegetable cooking oil
For honey butter sauce
3-4 tablespoons butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp gochujang
2 teaspoons light soysauce
4 teaspoons honey
4-5 tbsp water
For Garnish
2 tbsp white sesame seeds
2 tsp runny honey (for extra glossy)
2 spring onions (finely chopped)
