This is an interesting angle on the topic of independence and something that escapes ordinary people's attention. While Bitcoin is already a decade old, most people I have discussed it with do not understand and have negative opinions about it, but not without good reasons so educating Filipinos will be a huge undertaking on this matter. That's why Hive is a great way to introduce people to crypto; saying that it is a reward system for content published on the platform might be the simplest way I can think of to onboard people and get them to do more research on the subject. The blogging platform of Hive is one among many of its utilities. Yes, that's the first thing I learned about this amazing platform. And then there is this micro-investing opportunity through layer two tokens. Hive as an alternative monetary system is something to be explored. For me, digital freedom is the primary value proposition of Hive. I don't want any regulators or any central institution to interfere with my basic rights such as online financial transactions.
