So I tried to move my shares from the Janover transfer agent to etrade. I paid the $40 and then etrade said my shares are restricted. I invested in Janover through Republic and now Janover is publicly traded on the NASDAQ (JNVR). I talked to the transfer agent and they said oh yea, sorry we messed up. That I have to pay another $160 and also obtain a opinion letter from a securities lawyer. Why do I need to do this?! This lawyer is going to cost more than the shares are even worth now. Are there any securities lawyers that can answer this? I'd like to come at Republic as well and this is exactly why Regulation bCF is a absolute joke and why VCs laugh at companies that raise from the crowd.
