Been reading a book about Peter Paul Rubens, the famous Flemish painter. I will share of few things perhaps this week.

For example: Rubens, despite being extremely productive, couldn't keep up with the demand for new paintings. So he did what more painters did at that time: he set up a few studios with assistants.

Unlike a few others, he was always very open about what part he had done, and what part had been done by some assistant. And the more he had done, the higher the price... Fair enough l think.
