You Learn How To
There's the duck that developmental piece, but with a lot of old or cured from autism, but we can learn how to, I mean. The importance of knowing. That I'm autistic. It helps me get a better understanding of myself and like why I am the way that I am, why my brain does what it does. And from that, Isaac would say that. That gives me the power.
Learn how to like, regulate and manage some of the things that are maybe going to be a little bit harder, like gradually for me to regulate. So, you know, autistic individuals tend to have a very overactive nervous system. And a traumatised individual. System as well, right? And so I would actually say that, you know, to me, it's not that I even with like a truck. Like event, like I would say that it's not necessarily that. Heal from the trauma.

Like, I guess that's, and some people say it that way, and that's fine, and that's kind of your experience. But my experience is more like yours. You learn how to. Hold in your body and in your nervous system. The reality of the experience. And that happened, but it's no longer activating it. Way, so in some ways I would say, like it can. But to me it's not even necessarily about that, 'cause when I think.
It's like, I'm just gonna kind of like numb out from it. And that's not actually very helpful long term either. But a lot of people do that. You know, Mystic was talking about that earlier, you know, a lot of people who have gone through traumatic experiences turn to. Substances. And we self-medicate through substances or we.
Self-medicate through relationships or sex, or getting, or we can do it through deep diving into work or education.
